An African Intelligence & AI Technology Company

My journey into artificial intelligence and institutional intelligence did not begin with AI. It began with data.

Over the years, I have worked across data engineering, enterprise technology and analytics, building and transforming data platforms and seeing first-hand how organisations make decisions from the information they have available to them. I have worked with complex enterprise environments, migrated legacy processes into modern data platforms, and experienced the challenges that arise when technology, data, people and organisational strategy do not move together.

Those experiences shaped how I think about intelligence.

I came to understand that having data is not the same as having intelligence, and having advanced technology does not automatically make an institution more capable. The real value comes when technology is trusted, data is understood, decisions are informed, and innovation is aligned with the purpose of the institution and the people it serves.

This is what led me to establish Morero Intelligence Group (MoreroIG).

MoreroIG is built around a simple belief: Africa must not only adopt the technologies of the future; we must develop the intelligence, capabilities and institutions that will shape that future.

My work sits at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Data Engineering, Institutional Intelligence and responsible technology transformation. Through MoreroIG, I want to help organisations move beyond simply implementing technology towards building institutions that can understand, govern and use intelligence responsibly.

I am particularly passionate about ensuring that AI is developed with governance, accountability and human purpose at its core. As AI becomes increasingly embedded in governments, enterprises, universities and society, the question is no longer simply “What can AI do?” but also “How should we use it, who does it serve, and can we trust the decisions it influences?”

That is the future I believe we must build.

MoreroIG is therefore more than a technology company to me. It is an expression of a journey that started with data, evolved through technology and engineering, and has grown into a broader commitment to helping African institutions become more intelligent, resilient and future-ready.
